S Korea fest grabs 4 Iranian animations

Latest edition of the Seoul International Cartoon and Animation Festival (SICAF) is set to feature three Iranian animations.

The selected Iranian films include: ‘Release from Heaven’ by Ali Nouri-Oskouee, ‘The Switchman’ by Mehdi Khoramian, ‘The Little Boy’ by Mona Shahi and ‘Icky’ by Parastoo Cardgar.

The four Iranian films will be screened among a total of 158 films from 43 countries chosen for the 21 edition of the festival.

Established in 1995, SICAF is an international event specialized in animation representing Asia. The SICAF program introduces a variety of works expanding the territory of animation from the classical masterpieces to the latest hits, focusing on the changing environment and paradigms.

The 21st edition of the festival will take place on July 26-30 in Seoul, South Korea.
